My kids have truly enjoyed working with Dirk. Calgary Elite Baseball Training sessions are an excellent mix of focused instruction and positive energy. We've seen significant improvement in our boy's baseball skills since working with Dirk. I particularly like the time that gets put into the mental portion of the game. Having a plan when you step into the box, being prepared and focusing on what you can control. The combined emphasis on mental and technical training has been invaluable.

Dirk spent quite a lot of time with my daughter through the summer preparing her for tryouts with one of Calgary’s U15 club softball teams. I was shocked at how much improvement was accomplished in a relatively short amount of time, which I believe is one of the reasons we made the team.

Dirk has a way about him that drives performance and pushes athletes to the next level. My daughter enjoyed her sessions and often talked about how she felt motivated and challenged to be more through her time with Dirk. She felt inspired to push harder and reach that next level as a result of the positive reinforcement that was given.

Dirk clearly has the experience and expertise required to identify strengths and areas for improvement, which he utilizes in his clear and articulate way of walking the athlete through the mechanics of an effective swing.

While my daughters hitting skills benefited from her time with Dirk, I would say that I benefited just as much and I’m now working to transfer some of that imparted knowledge to the 12 girls that I’m coaching with our club team. I would strongly recommend Dirk and I feel fortunate to have met him. We look forward to future sessions with him.

I have had the pleasure of training with Dirk for almost a year now, and the difference and impact of everything Dirk teaches is night and day compared to when I first started. Before I started training, my hitting was mediocre at best, and now I'm hitting tanks, all thanks to Dirk. One of the best parts aside from the insane gains is Dirks personality, it really sets him apart, he is always positive and his love for the sport is inspiring to say the least and comes through in everything he teaches. My son started working with Dirk during baseball season last year to get some tips on areas to improve his pitching. He had such a positive experience that he didn’t hesitate to join the winter program offered through Calgary Elite Baseball Academy. He is halfway through the winter program and has already seen significant improvement. The focus on hitting fundamentals in particular, has lead to a more consistent approach at the plate and an increase in power. I would recommend the program to anyone who wants to use the off-season to improve their skills.

My 11-year-old son decided years ago he wanted to make the switch to baseball full-time. We have spent the last 4 years bouncing around the 3 major Calgary Area academy programs with limited fulfillment. Please take it from me, Dirk and Calgary Elite Baseball are the best. My son’s first session, Dirk setup radar with iPad, video recording and to my surprise invited me to join the session. Drills were explained to both my son and I so I could remind him of coaching instructions. Don’t waste your time and money anywhere else, Dirk is Elite!
